The Arkansas State Board of
Massage Therapy protects the health and well-being of
the general public through regulating the practice of
massage therapy.
This is accomplished by
licensing, continuing education requirements, promoting
education, administering tests to establish minimum
competency to practice, and enforcing professional
behavior and standards.
The agency is funded
primarily through business licenses and fees.
Only license renewals and
applications for new licenses from current graduates of
Arkansas massage therapy schools can be processed at this
time.
All other matters require approval by the Arkansas State
Board of Massage Therapy (Board) and will be addressed after
the new Board is appointed. |
