Other Notices:
Licensees who
received their renewal licenses before
obtaining 18 hours of continuing
education cannot practice massage therapy after December
31, 2009 if they have not obtained the
required 18 hours of continuing education.
Licensees must submit proof of meeting the
continuing education requirement for renewal
to the Arkansas State Massage Therapy Board
(Board) postmarked no later than January
15, 2010 in order to maintain a valid
license.
A licensee who
has not received the required 18 hours of
continuing education may advise the Board,
in writing, postmarked no later than
January 15, 2010 that they want their
license to be classified as Inactive
and surrender their license to the
Board to avoid forfeiting their license.
When the
licensee has obtained the required 18 hours
of Board approved continuing education
classes, they may activate their license by
submitting a completed Inactive Status to
Active Status Form along with proof of
meeting the continuing education
requirement, and the Board will issue a
current license to the licensee.
An Inactive
Status to Active Status Form can be obtained
on the Board’s website,
www.arkansasmassgetherapy.com, under
the “Document Center” tab. |
