Welcome!

First, allow me to express my gratitude for being chosen as Executive Director of the Arkansas State Board of Massage Therapy. This has been a great undertaking but with time and patience we will get where we need to be. I would like to express my gratitude to the many therapists for being so understanding during the restructuring, transition and relocation. Please know that this transition will not be a “quick-fix.” We have made many accomplishments but there is much more to do.

Welcome to our new website! We know that you depend on our research and insight to develop new, innovative ideas and strengthen policy and practice, so we have rebuilt our site to make it easier to find and share resources. The highlighted links will help you explore the site. You can also use the tabs at the top of this page to jump straight to resources designed for your use.

The primary goal of the Arkansas State Board of Massage Therapy is to protect the health and well being of the general public by regulating the practice of massage therapy. Our secondary goal is to educate and inform the public about the benefits than can be derived from the art and science of massage therapy. We believe that it is important for the public to know that an individual licensed to professionally provide massage therapy in Arkansas has typically been educated in anatomy, physiology and pathology, as well as being trained in massage therapy theory.

The Arkansas State Board of Massage Therapy is committed to keeping our work easily accessible to massage professionals and the general public. We believe this site reflects our long-standing commitment to learning and continuous improvement. We welcome your feedback as we continue to improve this site and the services offered by our agency.

Sincerely,

Marilyn L. Graham
