ALMOST RENEWAL TIME!

The ASBMT Office will soon begin mailing out license renewal reminders & renewal forms.  Your renewal will be mailed out the first of the month preceding the month that your renewal is due, and they will be mailed to your last known address on file with the ASBMT office.

Your renewal must be postmarked by the first day of the month before your EXPIRATION DATE (Birthday).   We encourage that you do not submit your renewals too early.  Please do not start on your 2011-2013 or 2012-2014 renewal’s continuing education hours too early; there will be NO carry over hours.

For an active license renewal, you must submit a fully completed renewal form, appropriate renewal fees, eighteen (18) hours of CEUs, and a copy of your previous license.  For an inactive license, you must submit a fully completed renewal form, appropriate renewal fees, and a copy of your previous license.

The renewal fee for a two-year massage therapy license is $80.  Late renewal fees are $25. ASBMT ONLY ACCEPTS MONEY ORDERS OR CASHIER’S CHECKS!

If you do not get your renewal packet postmarked by the first day of the month before your expiration date, you will be levied a late penalty fee of $25.  If your renewal is postmarked after the expiration date (your birthday), your license is expired.  A person may not engage in the practice of massage therapy with an expired license.

Expired licensees must submit a new application for licensure, meet all current license requirements, and successfully complete the MBLEX and the Arkansas Massage Therapy Law examination in order to hold a license.
